    Ability to stretch work area

The area where component permutation for choices/options are entered is extremely small

At the moment the space is ok for a couple of products, but when you have products with 10 or 20 permutations, its just downright ridiculuous.

    1. If the component input area could be expanded to fill most of the grey area.... that would be good, or better still undocked ?

    2. Also in permutations, the ability to copy and paste the product reference number straight into the Products selection area?
Instead of trying to find the product in an endless list of thousands of products.

    Thanks for your consideration.
It would make my life so much better.. :-)

I'd really like to see this sorted. Most of my products have permutations and it's a complete pain to work with - and especially frustrating when there's so much unused space on the display.

Blew my mind yesterday also, 4 permutations or more and its a nightmare to use. In the short term if you use the cursor keys when in the price field, it allows you to move up and down the options.

It's as un-user friendly as the stylesheet being in the middle of the drop down list, that was asked to be changed 9 months ago and never was. Lets hope these annoying shortcomings are solved. Little things like this make massive differences to the user experience, it's about time someone listened and spent some time actioning them.

Cheers Lee - I've passed your thoughts on to the team. Some of the little things take a few hours to fix, and we try and do as many of these as we can, and some take a lot longer - so aren't always possible. We've tried to fit solutions to lots of the little niggles with Actinic into the next version.

This would be good. Doing quite a lot of work with permutations now - which brings me to my next question:-

Permutations do seem to be sortable (sort of) by alphabetic stock code, but they seem to sort in "batches" alphabetically. So I'll get a load listed a to z, then starting again at a to z, and again... makes finding things hard, particularly when the product I want, say FROO45618RE, is below an item like FROO45818REOS. Actinic defaults to the first it finds. Is there a work around for this?

Can it be re-named as it is at the moment to something beginning with A?

Please ignore me if thats an insane suggestion.

it is! It's listed as "Actinic Stylesheet"
But the list isn't alphabetical so it doesn't seem to matter.

That was the fix we suggested, to show the list in alpha order as it will jump to the top then. I fail to see that being anything more than a 2 minute job, but would be a real plus for 100's of users.

If there was an extra minute available, perhaps it could also be renamed to:

                        Actinic Stylesheet (actinic.css)

In the standard RHS pane for Content Tree or Design Tree why not have another tab for Pagetype - or better still the ability to be able to modify/create new toolbars and then create and link your own icons.

I temporarily move the products being used in the permutations to the top of the product's tree. then when you look into the permutations dropdown, then the new products are there in the first few choices,

once you have done the permutations, move the real products down to where you want them

the whole of the permutations thing is hard work, I agree, give us a real usable solution
