    A major boost would be...

...to be able to work with Actinic while an upload is in operation...

...also to make a database compact as part of the regular closedown (including or excluding the database backup).

Oh right - wrong city, different time, different issue. Still not pleasant.

Downloading Orders and Processing Order during Uploads! Nice!

I would like to add my vote for being able to still download and process orders while Actinic is uploading. We sell 20GB of digital downloads and you can imagine how difficult is makes to keep up to date with orders while a 1GB Zip file is uploading!

one way round this in the meanwhile - although i agree with the original sentiment - is to move downloading orders to a separate PC (although this is not feasible is you require stock control)

The best way IMO - but as jo says its not an option if you need stock control

                  shameless plug:

if you only want to view orders, then you can do so in actinet, regargless of the status of Actinic, even if its closed down.

But i vote for this feature too.

Actinic needs background syncing of data.

STOP making us press the upload and download buttons.

You can also view and process orders using Actinic Multiuser on machines other than the one uploading, what you cannot do is edit product details, you might be able to do this with Actinic Enterprise, I can't quite remember ATM.

On the subject of backups, not only would I want it to creat a backup every time you close down, I want to be able to select an option from somewhere to autocreate site snapshots for all my sites in multisite rather than havign to go through them one by one.

This is already on the wishlist - you may want to add your vote on that thread.

Thanks for the suggestions about enhancements to the backup/snapshot. I've passed these on to the team.
