A couple of ideas to add to the defaults

A "Collect from Store" option, with any delivery charges removed, but payment still being taken as normal.

A product template where you can have a RRP showing and a sale price added. (this seems to get asked for a lot in the forums).

Easily enough added if you get into Actinic, but, as I said, could be worth adding to the default options.

Agreed but IMO the whole of UK shipping in Actinic is rubbish and I hope is better in V9 or get the shipping tables download put back on the actinic website.

nice idea...aren't there some legal issues though with taking a payment as "cardholder not present" or "ecommerce" and then allowing a customer to collect?

Something from the deepest depths of my mind (accessed infrequently!) seems to think that there is something disallowing this in merchant account contracts?

Granted it's difficult to police but worth noting.

This would be good - as would a simple way of creating a discount coupon that allows free shipping only.

There may be but many stores offer pay and collect. It should be any different really though as it is just another delivery method.

Agreed all the big boys are doing it now. Another option would be reserve and collect although I dont like that so much as there is no finacial pressure on the customer to actually turn up - if they have to pay upfront then they are more likely to turn up.

One wonders what percentage of Argos reserved stuff isn't actually collected.

That's a bit like PayOffline - your stock is on hold till (if) your customer pays/collects.

ie Subprime . Cash upfront is the only way IMO with a cancellation charge if they dont turn up.

                      that you'll never get.

Pay first is the only way IMO.

Quite a lot but they only hold it for a very short time so it will not affect them much.

Great suggestions. I have passed them on to the team.
