In combination with the postcode checking http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=38348 the ability to highlight new orders from customers that Actinic thinks have bought before ... matching say the postcode and first line of the address to show previous purchases .... this would be handy for those that do not use Actinic as the back-end and not only help fight fraud but also assist with customer service in spotting an existing purchaser.

Agreed.
And I'd also like to be able to automatically highlight orders that have chosen one delivery method over another. Again it allows me to prioritise one shipment over another.
I'd be surprised if Jan doesn't already do most of this stuff with a mole of some kind. Actinic should probably buy her out and get her to integrate it.

Actually it's my current little project, I'm adding an autocolour option to my automation and probably my one stop order processing tool. The idea being that you specify a whole load of criteria and colours get set according, criteria will be things like :
Shipping class
Country
Postcode
Order Value
Purchase of certain products
Repeat orders from customers with outstanding orders
If anyone has any other uses for this sort of thing, email into my support desk and I'll try to incorporate them if I like them.
We are always interested in ideas for ways to extend our tools and make them more useful by the way, only this morning someone suggested a couple of changes to our profit and pricing tool that will make it so much more useful and will not be that hard to implement, so if you do see a way to improve things, let me know.

There is no interface within Actinic to add new colours, but the colours available are read from a database, we have a little free tool that allows you to add extra colours and also name them (although the names only showup in our products, not Actinic directly). It's here :

Regards,
it'd be used to give at a glance reports on the status of orders, whilst viewing the 'pending and completed' tab.
for example, have all the items with a keyword highlighted with red, but with pink if its completed. and highlight everything else with blue, and with cyan of they are completed, leaving the darker colours to show the incomplete items.

So the filter would be to check either the product reference or the order detail descriptions for a certain keyword, that should be possible to do I think.
