When we import into Actinic from Sage - the short descriptions in Actinic are overwritten with the Sage descriptions, which in our case are not suitable for the web. Can we have an option to prevent the Sage import overwriting the Actinic Short Description.

I would like to add my vote to this, the option to choose what data to use from the sage output would be so much better.
It caught me out more than once by changing weights and descriptions -

I have added your requests and votes to the wishlist.
However, you could try importing the file using Hierarchical Import, which will allow you to map only those fields that you wish to import. That said, the product short description is a mandatory field for this import, hence will need to be mapped. But for other fields, you could try un-mapping and importing.
