I'd like to see an improved order processing screen. Right now, to process an order I have to:
- Open the order
- click the 'Customer' tab to check the addresses are correct
- click the 'shipping' tab to see what shipping method's been chosen and any delivery instructions
- click the 'mail' tab to see if any emails have been sent.
- Similarly the 'misc' tab for other comments.
- Then I go to 'Line items', print the delivery note (address label), ship the items, print invoice, send shipped email.
What I'd really like is to see more information on the 'line items' tab so I can see on the one screen:
- The customer and delivery addresses, email address and phone number (good to check and useful for fraud scanning).
- The shipping method and delivery instructions
- A history of what emails have been sent
- Probably the payment status (and 3rd Man Fraud score if AP) and misc. items as well.
The idea being that I can open the order, check everything looks OK and then process the order from the one tab. If anything looks wrong then I'm happy to go to the various tabs to investigate further, but this shouldn't be necessary just to process the order.
This would save a lot of time and effort and be much more efficient.
There shouldn't be much of a problem implementing as we're probably all working with decent sized screens nowadays.
