Actinic Acknowledge Wish List Requests

As the title says, its clear that the wish list thread does not appear to have an actinic champion

Perhaps one of the new mods can pass on a suggestion to actinic that they appoint someone to manage the wish list section

i would like someone from actinic to take responsibility for this thread, people are suggesting things (myself included) but no one from actinic responds to say wether its already on the wish list or will be added

not much point in having the section if no one is going to keep an eye on it

only a few that take my fancy, but my point is these go back a while and there is now acknowledgement by actinic that they have been added to the wishlist. So this part of the forum actualy seems a bit pointless IMHO

Communictaion was suppose to be the "new" thing from actinic yet listening to customer feedback is an important part of this cycle, please correct me but is a wishlist not a customer feeback tool?

i would be interested in others views, maybe i have it all wrong?

I don't think I've suggested anything thats actually been added anyway, so don't really have much faith in this subforum nowadays.

Actually IMO this is a valuable source of information for Actinic and thinks are usually added to the internal wish list, I don't know about those above though but will ask Actinic to check.

my main point of concern is mentioned up there ^^^^^

the promise things are changing yet i have seen nothing, this section is all but dead apart from members / customers posting things (i notice you reply jan)

I found it almost impossible to find a thread actinic had commented on so lets hope your hard work pays off and Actinic finally make a visable presence on the forum, which i add has been serverly lacking over the last 2 years.

And you just never know George perhaps some of those old wishlist items might oneday make it into the software

what we need is feedback as to which wishlist items will get incorporated and when and why the wishlist items that dont make it and never will make it get dropped.

We do monitor this thread, and new items generally do get added to our internal wish list - which includes requests from other sources as well.

Unfortunately in the past there has been little or no cross-referencing between the two, and it's been too time consuming to try to identify which requests came from the Community so as to be able to feed back. I apologise for this lack of response on our part.

I have asked that in future, any items from this thread that are copied to the internal wish list should have a cross-reference back to the original posting, so that I can monitor these more carefully and respond when there is something to say.

Our wish list is pretty long, but we do look at it very seriously every time we plan a new version of the software. Over the years we have managed to incorporate quite a large number of wish list requests into the product. We tend to prioritise items on the basis of how many people have requested them, and how time-consuming and risky they are to implement.

Sometimes if we cannot provide a wish list item as a specific feature, we try to incorporate it in a generalised way into something else we are doing. For example, the discounting was developed in a way that enabled many different approaches to merchandising, not just the specific discounts we were asked to support.

so next question is when will actinic actually publish a wish list, i still dont know if you have added any of my recent ones of any of anyone elses either.

How you correlate inhouse is not really a concern to myself and any others, if you have read the wish then acknowledgement is a simple reply button.
