Hide on website

"Hide on Website" and "Can be Ordered Online" check boxes on the product general tab - can these be duplicated on the stock control tab to save keep going backwards and forwards?

Yeah, I'd like to add my support for this. Either duplicate them or move them altogether, I'd have said it makes more sense to have them on the stock tab.

Could you explain the reason behind this, please? Are you wanting to hide products that are out of stock?

If so, would it be better to have a tick box option that would do that automatically?

The "hide on website" is the biggest bugbear for us, so agree that it should be on the stock control tab (if it can only be in one place).

Sometimes we need to hide out of stock products quickly (for instance during a sale when a lot of products sell out very quickly, but you don't want the out of stocks cluttering up the page). We then periodically batch delete the hidden products. Having to go back and forth between the 2 tabs to check the stock is zero before hiding them is a real pain!

Sometimes we also need to hide an out of stock product when restocks are going to be delayed for a prolonged period, so this is only temporary.

We wouldn't use a tick box to automatically hide all out of stock products - for us and a lot of businesses I should imagine this would be more detrimental than beneficial.

It just feels more natural (and would save so much faff) to have the "hide on website" check box either duplicated or residing on the tab where you can see your stock levels.
