I get the error 'There were no registered sites available to take a backup from' when trying to take a snapshot.
Check that your 'Sites' folder has a file called 'Sites.ini' in it. If you open the file in 'notepad' it should contain something like:
[Sites]
Site1=
If not, then type it in and save the file and you should then be able to take your snapshot without any errors.
