    Setting up Fetchify

Sellerdeck has the ability to lookup addresses and populate the relevant address fields. This will work for orders placed by customers online on the website and orders placed offline via telephone or email etc.

From version 18.2.3 of the Desktop ecommerce software, the Fetchify service is the only one available for new accounts. If you have used a legacy service in an older version of Sellerdeck, you should find those options as well in the drop-down post upgrade.

To sign up for Fetchify, visit https://www.sellerdeck.co.uk/fetchify/

To set up Address Lookup in Sellerdeck, go to 'Settings | Business Settings | Address Lookup'.

Note: If enabled, lookup will be disabled on Address Line 1 and Postcode fields
    Enable Email Verification

Tick this box to enable validation of phone numbers entered on the checkout page to prevent incorrect /incomplete entries.

Further details on how Fetchify handles this can be found here - https://www.fetchify.com/phone-number-validation

To test out your settings, try the following after entering the details as described above:

    1. Upload the store. Add any product to the cart and proceed to checkout.

    2. In the 'Invoice Address' screen, click in the Quick Address Finder field (if enabled) or Address Line 1/ Postcode fields.

    3. Start typing an address or postcode to see the matching hits that come up as a drop down. Select one and it should fill in rest of the
address details automatically. (Note: Only countries enabled for Shipping in Sellerdeck will appear in the Country field)

    4. If you have Email and/or Phone verification enabled, you can test out the validation process by entering an incomplete/ incorrect value
and you should see an error below the field and not be allowed to proceed with checkout until a correct value is entered.

If a value is entered in the correct format but the same cannot be validated by Fetchify, a confirmation message will be displayed. If you are sure of the entry being correct, click Yes to proceed with the checkout.

    To test the feature offline:

    1. Switch to the New Order tab in Sellerdeck

    2. You should see a Lookup button next to the Postcode field. Enter a valid Postcode corresponding to the Shipping Country
    and click Lookup.

    3. This will display a popup with relevant address suggestions.

    Protecting your account

It's very important that you prevent other people using your account. By default, your access token can be used on any site. It's also visible when looking at the source code of your checkout page.

Follow the steps listed in https://help.fetchify.com/en/article...y-access-token to limit its use to only your site. Make sure to test Fetchify on your site after making this change.
