Please see below instructions to configure the Toshiba ST-A10 with Epson TM-T88IV printer, to work with SellerDeck EPOS.
If you find that the printer, pole display or cash drawer stop working on the Toshiba ST-A10 for any reason, these instructions will show you how to configure the Toshiba ST-A10 from the beginning and solve the problem.
To Configure the Pole Display / Customer Display
- Go to Start | Control Panel | Add/remove programs.
- Click on "OPOS Brugge", then click "remove", then select "yes" to unistall the program.
- Restart you PC (Start | Shut down | Restart)
- Now you need to reinstall the drivers.
Double click on "My Computer", then browse to the following location:
C:\Drivers\POSDRV\OPOS - Double click on "setup.exe"
- Select "Next"
- Select "Execute" and only have the tick box "ST-A10 Line display" ticked.
- Click "Next", "Next again", then "Install", then finally "Finish".
- Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Tec POS Drivers
- Click on little "+" sign next to "OPOS Control".
- Click on little plus sign next to "LineDisplay"
- Double Click on "LIUST51"
- In this window, select the follow options:
Port = Com 4
Country = US
Baud Rate = 9600
Tick the tick box "Used Logical Name" and type "unit1" as the Logical Name.
- Click "OK", then "OK" to close the program.
- The customer display is now fully configured. To test it, open SellerDeck EPOS, go to the sales screen, and press the "lock" button. This should make the customer display now show a your message.
To configure the Printer and cash drawer in Epson OPOS:
- Open 'Windows Explorer' and browse to the 'C:\checkout\Opos 250e\Disk1\'
- Double-click on the 'Setup.exe' file to run it
- When asked to select a registry file, choose “Use Registry file”, then click the 'Browse' button and browse to: “C:\checkout\Opos 250e\Disk1\OposData.reg”. Click 'Open'
- When asked to 'Choose a Package to be installed', select 'Program Files'
- Select 'CCO' for the 'CO priority registration' option
- Select 'Full Install' for the 'Type of installation'
- A message appears saying “do you use parallel IF” select “no”
Once EPSON OPOS has Re-installed, EPSON OPOS ADK will be open. - Click the "+" next to "Device” to expand the list.
- Click the "+" next to "LineDisplay" to expand the list.
- Right Click on DM-210 and select “Delete”, select “Yes” to the warning message stating that printer and Cash Drawer are attached to it, then click “OK”
- Right Click POS Printer and select "Add new device"
- Under the heading “Select Device name” select “TMT88III”
- In the field “Add new LDN” type “unit1”.
- Click “Next”
- Under “COM Port Settings”, select “COM1”.
- Under "Baud rate", select the "Baud rate of the printer you have. To check the baud rate, turn the printer off. Then, hold down the "Feed" button on the printer and switch it back on, whilst still holding down the feed button. When you now let go of the feed button the printer will print a diagnostic report. On the report you will see what baud rate the printer uses. Select this baud rate in the drop down list.
- Click “Finish”
- Right Click “CashDrawer” and select "Add new device"
- Under the heading “Select Device name” select “Standard”
- In the field “Add new LDN” type “unit1”.
- Click “Next”
- Under “COM Port Settings”, select “COM1”.
- Click “Finish”, then close “EPSON OPOS ADK”.
- Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Tec POS Drivers.
- Click on little "+" sign next to "OPOS Control".
- Click on little plus sign next to "Line Display"
- Double Click on "LIUST51"
- Tick the tick box "Used Logical Name" and type "unit1" as the Logical Name.
- Click "OK", then "OK" to close the program.
- In SellerDeck EPOS, go to Setup | This till | "Printing" tab, and make sure the tick boxes "Epson OPOS avalible" and "Customer Display Active" is ticked and a message has been entered in "Customer Display Message".
- The customer pole display, printer and cash drawer is now fully configured. To test it, open SellerDeck EPOS, go to “Setup” | and tick the “Training mode” tick box. You can now put a sale through to test the hardware.
Remember to turn off training mode when you have finished testing the hardware
