    V8 on Win 7 64bit

    I'm currently trying to install Version8 on our new Windows 7 64bit PC.

    It installs fine, and once it's open it seems fine.

    The problem is logging in. It takes upwards of 5 minutes - during which time the computer is completely out-of-action.

    I've tried:
    • using different network settings;
    • connecting to the Sites directory via both the server path and the mapped drive path (latter causes issues, former works fine);
    • XP SP2 compatibility;
    • uninstall & reinstall of Actinic.

    Does the problem lie within the fact that it's a 64bit PC I'm attempting to use?
    Has anyone else conquered this problem?

    We've spoken to someone at Actinic who suggested using the full server link to the site file - which solved one of our problems (it couldn't find the folder on initial start up) - but still it takes sometimes 12 minutes to log in.

    I'm a relative newbie with Win7, so I'm not entirely convinced it's not going to be something stupidly obvious.

    Thanks in advance

    From the mention of logon and server issues I assume we're talking about 'Multi User' here?

    I have no answer for you but you might find something relevant in the 'Muli-user and sync server issues' section of the forum.

      Yes it's a Multi-User version.
      Forgot to mention that, sorry.

        What is the operating system of the PC where you have the main site data.
