    Transfer of data

I currently have EPOS software that i'm not too happy with

Is it possible for Actinic EPOS to import my data from my current software, as I cannot face the horrendous task of adding all my products & data again

They are working on Link for Actinic ecommerce to Actinic EPOS, but not sure they would be creating tools to import competing EPOS data, although some ecommerce systems provide such tools, but whether Actinic will do this for alternate EPOS to Actinic EPOS, is only something they can say to be honest, but if all of your products are in an Actinic v8 ecommerce site then an option is to use the Link when that is completed for there EPOS.

That said and done, for a one time conversion, maybe one of the plugin developers might be able to throw something akin for this.

      Hi,

If you can get your current data into a csv format then we can do the conversion for if and when you decide to go for Actinic EPOS.

I've finally made the decision to move away from my current EPOS software, so does anyone have any experience in transfering data from one EPOS software to Actinic EPOS.

I'd appreciate opinions on the smoothness of the transfer and any before & after tips would be handy.

Most EPOS systems will export to Excel so you can make a csv for import to Actinic EPOS.
We export our stock references and stock levels this way, we are still waiting to hear that the V8-Actinic EPOS linking is now working, last I saw it was due January?

            Hi there

If your current Epos system allows you to export to a csv file, or spreadsheet, then we can help you import the data into Actinic Epos.

There isnt currently an import function with Actinic Epos, but we can import the data for you if you wish, all you need to do is send over the data, and we can import it.

Ideally the minimum data you need to have in there is product code/product name/barcode/stock level/minimum stock level/catagory/retail price and cost price.

            Hope that helps

The EC/EPOS link works with Ecommerce v8.5 and EPOS v2.73.

Is there going to be a link between EC V7 and EPOS. I bought my epos before V8 was released on the premise that at some point it would link in with my E-Commerce.
Trying to squeeze my moneys worth out of V7 - but not for much longer!

I'm afraid not, only from v8.5 onwards.

                    Actinic Team:
Would it be possible to upload a .csv database (3.4MB) to yourselves from my current EPOS software, to check that everything that is needed for Actinic Epos is available?
