    Problems with scanner

    Hi There

We have the Metrologic 9540 with our Actinic softerware - trouble is we can't seem to get any power to it via the USB connection. Do we need a seperate power supply?

    Any pointers appreciated

    Many Thanks

Am looking at our 9520 and it gets power from keyboard connection, as it passies through. A seperate power supply via transformer is optional and there is a socket for this on the lead.
I assume the 9540 is just a USB version so it would probably be the same.
    According to Metrologic :--
Equipped with both In-Stand and Out-of-Stand operation, Voyager can be used as both a hand-held and fixed projection scanner. While resting in the stand, the CodeGate button is deactivated making VoyagerCG a presentation scanner. The feature-packed Voyager comes equipped with PowerLink user-replaceable cables and power supply, MetroSelect® one-code programming, MetroSet® Windows-based software configuration utility, Bits n' Pieces® data editing utility, and an Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) option. With aggressive performance and lightweight design, VoyagerCG is far and away the most advanced scanner on the market today!
So if you haven't got one, you would appear to be missing the power supply.

Thanks - I think that may be the problem although we had a few issues in the fact all our connecters are USB and not the type supplied with the scanner. Do you know if it requires software download or drivers? as it came with no disc.

      Many Thanks

Take a look at the Metrologic Uk site, there should be everything you need there.
