Attaching new barcode to exisiting product

I have managed to link a new barcode to a product I already stock, but when I try and print new tickets with the new barcode it only allows me to print the old barcode - HELP!!!

If you have a Piccolink you can scan directly into the ticket printing screen. Failing that, go into the lookup option in the ticket printing screen and you can scan the products new barcodes to generate a ticket. Once scanned you can edit the list for the quantities you want to print.

If you're using a back office setup its worth investing in a handheld scanner, it saves loads of time creating new products and generating labels etc.

If you go to 'Lookup' on the ticket printing screen, and type in the product description, then look that product up, you should find the product - if it has 2 barcodes, then it will find 2 entries for that product, simply double click the line you want to print the barcode for to add it to the list, then go to print and select what type of label you require.

      Hope that helps

        Attaching and printing new barcodes

In theory that should work but it does not appear to. Even when attaching a new barcode to the products mentioned everytime I looked up the product I wanted to attach a barcode to it said "product not found" I then added the new barcode via the products page. Any other advice most welcome! Still needing to print new tickets!!!!!!!

Are you looking the product up using the products description? If you can find it that way, can you see it when you go to Product File | Datasheets? The Product File menu is in the top menu bar.

Yes I can see the products old and new barcodes. I still do not understand why I cannot print the new barcode. I dont want to loose the sales history etc by deleting and then readding over 50 products, there must be an easier way.

              Hi there

If you can see the new and old barcode, you should be able to print them both, if you go to print the new and old barcode they may look the same because they still use the same product code (this is displayed on the lable) however the barcodes themselves will be different.

              Hope that helps
