Epos at two locations

Does anyone have any experience of using Actinic EPOS at two locations and possibly using the same database?

We've currently got Actinic Solo EPOS in our shop and are hoping to have a second installation in a small warehouse premises, so ideally we'd like the two systems to share the stock and maybe even have an indicator on product look-up to show at which premises the quantities are located - or am I asking too much?

Pete,
As far as I understand, you would need the Head Office version of EPOS, allowing stock to be allocated to 'branches' and communicating with each other using broadband.

Thanks Simon but what I need is stock entering, sales, etc at two locations and one database.

I'm pretty sure that you can do this, with a PC in one location acting as the 'Head Office' and main database, with a PC in another location reading and writing to it.
We use Head Office software on a single PC, linked to two other PC's which function as tills. Putting stock into the system, adjustments and all the usual day to day EPOS stuff can be done from either of the tills as they read/write to the Head Office machine database via a network. Although we only have one branch I'm pretty sure that the same functionality is available if the 'Head Office' PC and 'Till' PC/s are in different locations.
I hope that I have understood correctly and this is what you meant!

Ok - Think i'm sorted.

Just cannot find anything in the user guide that enables me to have an indicator next to say if product is in the shop or in the stores.

Can you get stock reports for each location, or is it always as a 'whole' ?

I can't help with the money Pete, unless the numbers come up tomorrow night! As we are currently only using 1 'branch' I am really not sure about reporting but you should be able to do this. With regard to all my answers, a call to Actinic sales is advised to confirm before you lay out the cash!
