    Intermittent Problem

Every now and again when scanning barcoded products through our EPOS system at check out the product reference number takes the place of the price. For example:

Widgets with a product code of 12650 and a price of £1.50p will appear at check out as £126.50p. This only happens every now and again but is happening enough to raise concerns.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

      Hi Bun,

I understand you are experiencing an intermitant problem with scanning barcodes on the sales screen in Actinic EPOS.

Please can you advise of the revision number you are using? You can check this on the first screen you see when you log into EPOS, down the centre "Revision number".

      Thanks

        It's Rev 292

Every now and again when scanning a product the ref number will take the place of the price.

          Hi Bun,

This is a very strange problem, I would liekt o try and recreate this problem on my PC. Please can you email me your main EPOS database and I will see if I can recreate the problem

Please follow the steps below to do this:
          1) First close down Actinic EPOS
          2) Browse to C:\checkout\data.mdb
          3) Right click on this file and select "Winzip" | "Add to Zip file..."
          4) This database will now be zipped with WinZip, and should now appear at the bottom of the list of files within C:\checkout and will be called "Data.zip"
          5) Please attached this to an email and send it to me at the email address pmsupport [@] actinic.co.uk

          Thanks
