Button Default

Is it possible to change the default in a product so it doesn't automatically create a till button? most products don't need buttons, I would rather opt in fo those that should have one rather than opt out of (almost all) that don't. I am always forgetting to switch the button off, esp when cloning lot of products, it would be easier to have it switched off by default.

Untick the 'can be ordered online' option on the product, if i've understood what you are trying to say correctly.

it is the button on the till screen, the system automatically creates a till button for each product unless you untick the box

want it unticked by default

Sally, just noticed you are talking about EPOS, sorry ignore what I said completely.

I contacted Support on this issue

once again the reply was

'Unfortunately at present Actinic EPOS automatically ticks the “Sales Button” tick box for every new product that is created. At present there is no functionality to change this default.'

It doesnt make any difference if you tick it or not as unless you goto setup and buttons and link a button to the barcode or category it does'nt work anyway

Hi Steve,
we have found it does create buttons that are blank and added to the end of existing ones then as they fill up in a certain category they push the named and in use butons further down the screen. We have also had issues where we press a named linked button and a different item has been linked to it, only by unticking that items box dose this issue resolve. Anyone else experienced this problem? I would really like to be able to default the button out of use.
