Sending Orders by E-Mail from EPOs

    Can anyone help,

I am trying to use the EPOS system (3.06) to create and order to send to a supplier.

Creating the order of products is not a problem, viewing the order as a purchase order is not a problem but all i can do is print it after that.

Does anyone know a way to send this an e-mail from the till.

I've tried Print|'Print to File' option, which then hides the file in My Documents, but whatever program i use to view this, all i see is coding. Now if the J2 till came with, or had a way to have, Microsoft Word then i could publish the order to it.

I feel i have exhausted all options, have i missed something?

    Hi Chris,

There are 2 ways in which you can save an order, so that you can email it:

    1) If you have Microsoft Office installed on your PC you can save stock order as a Word document or Excel spreadsheet, although EPOS will only export the text from the stock order and not the boxes you see on the stock order.

To do this, go to "Stock order", then click "Print". At the top of the screen to the right of "Close" you can see a microsoft office icon. You have 2 options to "Publish it with Microsoft word" or "Analyse with Microsoft Excel". You can then save these files and attached them to an email

    2) Install "cutepdf" on your PC, you can download it from:
    http://www.cutepdf.com/.

Once this is installed, when you print a Stock order you can choose "cutepdf" from your list of printers. The result is that the stock order is saved as a pdf you can email to somebody.

    I hope this helps.

      Hi Paul,

Thanks for that, i did eventually discover CutePDF. The only disadvantage of this is that the PDF can not be edited, but not a major issue.

      Many Thanks
