Running a clothes store with Epos

Hi, just wondering if I get get some ideas on how we could run a linked epos and internet store.

We have a ecommerce store at the moment which sells designer clothes. We want to link this with our high street shop and obviously link the stock levels together. At the moment on the ecommerce store each item of clothing has a different size option. How would this tie in with the stock for the actual shop, or would we have to create a separate product for each item (size). If the latter we are a bit worried that the ecommerce site would look complicated showing 6 jeans (for example) that are all the same picture and details apart from the listed size.

Can anyone advise on how they do it.

No idea re Epos but this KB article is how we monitor stock on different sizes etc

thanks for reply, just found this myself - can anyone at Actinic confirm if doing this is compatible with there epos systems - ie if someone order a 38 pair of jeans it also comes off the shops epos system.

Hi Darren

They can link together via the Epos Link. You do need to set up each size as an individual product so your stock can be monitored correctly.

As Guccij mentioned, the KB offers a good guide on how to set these up in EC so you don’t have lots of similar looking products all on one page.

If you choose to manage stock in Actinic Epos then once you have sold an item from your website and the order has been completed, you will notice that the stock level is deducted from Epos as well.
