    Corrupt Checkout.mde file

    I have problems with EPOS.

When starting it up I get several errors starting with

"Id is not an index in this table" and "ParentIdName is not an index in this table"

Now I also get the message "The document "Checkout.mde caused a serious error the last time it was opened. Would you like to continue opening it? Y/N" when trying to start up EPOS.

By what I can find out I believe that the Checkout.mde file is corrupt. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?

    Corrupt Checkout.mde file

    Hi Mark

Firstly take a back up copy of your C:\Checkout folder and put it somewhere safe.

If you have more than one Till\PC with Epos running on them, you could try (with Epos closed) copying the C:\checkout.mde file (about 42.548 kb in size) from your working till and pasting it into C:\Checkout on the Till\PC that has the fault.

If you have only the one Till\PC you could try the following but only if you’re using the latest Epos version 3.06.

Download Epos 3.06 from the actinic website http://www.actinic.co.uk/about/Free-trial.php4 on a different PC or laptop if you have one. Once you have downloaded and installed epos, go to the C:\Checkout folder and find the checkout.mdb file, it’s about 42.548 kb in size.

With Epos closed, copy that file and paste it into your C:\Checkout folder on the Till\PC that has the error.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks,

    Andy
