Lost £ signs on receipts

Hi,
this is just silly but it is annoying me. When I print a till receipt the £ signs are changed to foreign U's wth dots on top (don't know what they are called), on the screen they show as £'s, just the printing is odd.

Happening to anyone else out there?

Check your printer settings - your computer (& therefore screen) is set to an English codepage - but your printer thinks it's in Germany.

Find the Instruction Manual for the printer and run the SetUp sequence. Sorry, I can't offer anything else, I've suffered this sort of thing in the past, if I'm wrong I apologise in advance.
