    Ordering in Pack Sizes

I have a problem with the product order page when ordering from the automatic replenishment.

When setting up a product, you enter the pack size, Ie: (12 in a case)
Then you set up the unit triger for stock replenishment.
But when ordering the Order produced is in units and gives a total of units to order.
This is a nighmare for me as my suppliers and im sure alot more requier a total cases you want to order.
    EG:
Baked beans set to 12 units in a case and re-order when i reach 6 in stock.
When I order, this currently will place an order for 6 units instead of 1 case to round up to the nearist case size. Ie minimal stock qty 12 it would order to the nearist case size.

My suppliers work on Case size so if i send that order for beans to them I will get 6 cases of 12 in stead of 1 case of 12.

Have I made a mistake in the set up?, dose the order system order in cases or only in Units?
The system alreay knows the case size so i do not understand why it orders in units.
I need an order to show the folowing or similar,
code / Description / Case Qty / Order (Cases) / Case Price / Line price

    500254 / Baked Beans/ 12 / 1 / 5.00€ / 5.00€

The above would tell my supplier i want 1 case of beans

    Currently the order shows this:
code / Description / Order (units) / Case Price / Line price

    500254 / Baked Beans / 6 / 5.00€ / 30.00€

This is a huge problem for me and dont know what to do

    Cant anyone please help....???

Also is there a way to export the order page into Excel so it can be sent by email?

    Ordering in Pack Sizes

    Hello Simon,

I’ve managed to set it up as the underneath example shows and print the correct purchase order.

    Within the Product File Menu:

    • Description = Beans.
    • Pack Quantity = How many per pack\case, so I’ll say 10.
    • Pack Cost = The cost of the single pack\case, so I’ll say £10.
    • Sell Price = The cost you sell per tin\unit, so I’ll say £1.50
    • Opening Stock = The total number of cans of beans you wish to stock so I’ll say 50.
    • Min Stock = The amount of cans you wish to have left which will trigger the re-order amount so I’ll say 10.
    • Re-Order Quantity = The amount of cases you wish to re-order now that there are only 10 cans left on the shelve. I’ll say 4 so that keeps my stock of cans of beans to about 50 cans.

Sales Screen -Now for the sake of the example I’ll purchase 41 cans of beans.

Stock Orders\Select Stock Replenishment Screen – The re-order details are now shown in here.

    • Double click on line and choose ‘order’.
    • Highlight the line again and choose ‘print’ to display the ‘order printing menu’.
    • Choose report ‘Purchase Order Packs’ – This one displays the information you need.
    • After the report has been printed press ‘save’.
    • When the order arrives book in as normal.

    • I found that if you press save directly after order, the reports won’t show any information to print. * I will pass this information onto our development team.*

Also is there a way to export the order page into Excel so it can be sent by email?

    • Download CutePDF. When within the ‘Purchase Order Packs’ report - \File\Print\Choose CutePDF Printer.
    • This will now create the report in PDF format saved to you desktop. You can now send that report via email.

    Thanks

    Andy
