Newspaper Barcodes

Hi

Does anyone have a working system for Newspaper barcodes? I have found that they change everyday and therefore cannot be scanned.

Any help would be appreciated.

Create your own barcode for each paper, put them all on a sheet of paper, laminate it, stick it next to till and scan that every time a paper is sold.

Many do as Lee suggests and it is probably the easiest route - but you could also use the "add bar code" tab in the product screen.

Our newsagent just puts my 32p in his pocket....

After speaking to the newspaper distribution companies, i have been informed that the barcodes are repeated weekly, so for example its the same barcode used for every Monday.

So I just set up one product call The Times, and then added a new barcode and price for every day.

in total i have 7 barcodes for the product "the times" but now i can scan the paper directly.
