Any tips on the above. Ive been trying to import both Exel file and CSV but no joy. I get told there is an error on line 6 and no import. is there a special way the spreadsheet need to be layed out. I listed a couple of items manualy then exported them to see whatn the layout was like but seem to be layed out in a very odd way for recreating on your own spreadsheet.

There are 2 type of import file. A simple Flat File and a more sophisticated Hierarchical one.
They're well documented in the built-in Help and there are sample files in your site's "Common" folder.Norman - www.drillpine.biz

Ive tried the PDF help but it just refers you to the built in help which tells you how to arrange the import but no details on how it should be formatted. I can get the prepared sample to load in but if i make up my own file layed out the the same way it errors. I can import into Actinic no problem but this Epos is fighting me all the way. Ive emailed the help and sent them a couple of files to see what they can do.
Im having a right week of problems with Actinic products, my V10 wont allow me paste into the product description windows so havent be able to list products for over a week and our old databace sytem was wiped when coffee was spilt into the computer
no backup.....

Finaly sorted it. I had to copy and paste the exact titles of each colum from the test spread sheet onto my own spread sheet to get it to import. That was a week of trial and error to figure out. Email support finaly got back to me the day after i fixed it myself and still no word from the sales office to actualy buy the product. (Im on a trial)Comment
