PHP in 2013 ???

Does anyone know a reason a php expression that works in 2014 will not work and show errors in 2013? Is there a different php version or something and can this be changed if so??? The expression is pretty straightforward but subject to an NDA so I cannot post.

PHP version within SellerDeck is displayed by temporarily putting:

!!<<actinic:block php="true">phpinfo();</actinic:block>>!!

Into a product description.

My 12.0.6 and 14.0.3 both show the same: PHP Version 5.2.3

But there may be differences in the available modules and capabilities installed.

Years ago I tried using different PHP versions with SD but my tests invariably crashed so I've given up on that.
