Date Input on confirmation email

I have a product that is personalised with a date.

Customers wedding is the 5th of April 2013.

The select this date from the relative dropdows 5 April 2013.

Customer gets confirmation email that reads as follows:

Event Date: 2013/04/05

Customer not sure if they entered the correct date and it looks messy. Any ideas on how to fix this.

You could change it to a text input. Then the customer could enter the date in whatever format they like.

Or you could edit the scripts so they show whatever format you like. There is a bit of work involved in that though and you'll need to redo the changes every time you update.

AFAIK the date is formatted via Design / Text / Goto, Phase -1, ID 2247 and again at 1912. I'm not sure which does the emails so best change only one, test, and see.
