Epos Link server on Multiple Machines

I am running actinic business plus 2013 with two users, do I need to run the Epos Link Server on Both Machines to link to make it work or just the machine with the epos Database?

Epos and business databases are currently both on the same machine.

The link server needs to run on just the machine that has the EPOS database.
