Product filtering and permutations

Does product filtering work with permutations? i.e. if colour is a permutation on a number of products and I want to filter by colour? Or do I have to have each colour as a separate product for filtering to work?

Hello Roz and welcome to the community

You can indeed use product options as filtering criteria. An example can be seen in the default site. Go to Settings | Search and Filtering Settings and Filtering tab. Under Property you can select Size / Material , etc which are product options and not individual products. Upload the site and check the Wedding Jewellery section. You should see two criteria for filtering - Jewellery Type and Size.
