    Tracking Orders For Account Customers

    It is the first time we have used accounts and order tracking on the website. We can't use automatic download and update as there is an issue with accounts and payments (Sellerdeck has recognized the bug, we wait a fix on that).

    I made the assumption that if you download orders, this tracking will be updated, however, I did a test this afternoon, to see when order appears on the site. No luck after download orders (even if it says Updating order tracking data...) and you have to publish to web for a new order to appear.

    Is that right, shouldn't it be linked to orders download process?

    If the synchronisation options are disabled, then the only way to upload account information is to 'Publish to Web' or 'Web | Refresh Website'.

      So synchronisation is content and orders related.

      It does say in retrieving orders process:
      • Retrieving orders ...
      • Uppdating online stock ...
      • Updating order tracking data...


      You would assuming the last one is uploading any new orders in the tracking system.

      We can't use the synchronisation function due to the bug (the bug is if you have a product which is free on the site in our case a catalogue, people can order that and create account. As they don't go through payment selection, there is no payment selected against the account. On the next upload, site stops working!). Hence not being able to us that function.

      Had a person complain they didn't get an order email and they could no review their order through their account, we had retrieved the orders that day.
