    Upgrade to 12.0.2 failure

Please do not scold me for repetition, but the previous thread has been closed and I am still stuck and Sellerdeck support also appear to be stuck.

Can anybody think of any possible reasons why an upgrade from 12.0.1 to 12.0.2 should work when uploaded by Sellerdeck to their test server, and in my domain's test directory uploaded by Sellerdeck, but not work for me uploaded by me? Is it because I am 64 years old? Bear in mind that psp was installed with install, computer (MS Small Business Server 2003 with XP) was restarted as prompted in the install, and re-started again later after failure. Back up drive was unplugged during the re-starts. The failure occurs when clicking Refresh Website in the Web menu, and the error message is immediate, either Runtime error and must close followed by must close and dmp file name and Sellerdeck closes, or the same without runtime error message. Snapshot and dmp files uploaded to Support. Have attempted uninstalling, re-downloading and installing 3 times. Getting nowhere. I have reverted to 12.0.1 each time, which takes even longer than upgrading, with the uninstall, backups of files, deletion of files and directories, re-install etc, each time with catalog suspended on the website.

I would suggest testing it on a different computer (laptop or friends computer). If support have a working site it might be specific to your computer. It could be the registry. Another user had this issue with XP. Someone else resolved via chkdsk.

Why problem with 12.0.2 and not 12.0.1

If the problem is with my computer (Windows SBS 2003), then why is it a problem with 12.0.2 and not with 12.0.1, and not with anything else? The operator system is the same, etc. Has something changed in 12.0.2 related to the operating system and registry files?

          Resolved

Sellerdeck support suggested that I had installed the wrong version of pspsetup.exe, which is different for 12.0.1 and 12.0.2. However, I had selected the default option of installing psp's when downloading upgrade, and had also applied the psp file from the Sellerdeck website with no improvement in result. I rang support, and was told that the psp file is the same for both versions, so very odd. Then another person at support suggested that I wiped out Sellerdeck 2013 and downloaded 12.0.2 completely fresh, not upgrading, and then brought in snapshot. This is what I always used to do when upgrading, but was not as instructed for the present upgrade. This worked. So now how live and working 12.0.2. Somewhat relieved but at the same time annoyed as I could have done that in the first place a week ago and saved a lot of stress, lost orders and lost customers.
