Help with pagination please - very new user!

Hi
I would like to have the pagination numbers displaying below the list of products as well as above like on the pages of this forum. How do I do this please?

It is not available via a menu setting, you would need to copy code. Check the layout at Settings then Site Options under Main Product Area Layout. Then go to Design Library > Web Page Inner Layout, find the layout and open it. Find the code that looks like this:

After that code add a return / line break, then copy the following line of code:
<actinic:block if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22SectionPaginated%22%20%2f%3e" ><div style="clear: both;"><actinic:variable name="SectionPaginationNavigationLinks" /></div></actinic:block>

Which layout were you trying to change?. If you need to revert the layout back to default you can do so by right clicking the layout in the Design > Library and selecting Revert to factory / default. The above works for most sites so make sure you copy the entire line of code. If it does not work it would be hard to tell you why your whole area goes blank without seeing your site or the layouts, it could be the code is in the wrong place or that you have some incorrect code in your site layouts.

Hi The layout is Section Page Body. There has not been any other alterations to the code. I'll try again, if it doesn't work, I'll wait to see if this becomes available in the future when using filters, as I do want to use filters too.

Section Page Body is the default layout for that setting in the SellerDeck 2013 software. The code I mentioned you needing to locate related specifically to code in that layout.

I'm beginning to think that this is a problem that has started since I upgraded to 12.0.2 version.
It seems that any changes I make to layouts, it only applies them to sections/products which were created before the upgrade, and the sections/products created while in version 12.0.2 don't change. Is this something you could help with please?

If you make a content change such as changing a product title does it change in the page preview? Or is it only layout changes that are not updating?.

1) If the content changes but not the layout, then check if your sections are using the same layout. Click on a section in the Content Tree and check the Layout tab > Main Product Area Layout and see if it using the "Use Parent Section Page Body" (the site default) or a different layout. If it is using a different layout set it to use parent.

2) If the content is not updating either then it seems that your HTML pages are not generating correctly. You could try these possible fixes:
Housekeeping menu > Compact Databases > tick both boxes, wait for prompt, restart.
Create a snapshot backup using File menu > Snapshot > Export.
And also the Web menu > Generate Web Site.

I have checked all my layouts are the same and they are all using the parent.
I have tried the 3 suggested fixes and nothing has changed.

In the page preview in Sellerdeck, the sections/products are showing correctly, but when I publish to web, the sections/products in question are not displaying as they are in the page preview - they haven't changed.

I am assuming that you have the pagination with numbers showing at the top of the pages just not the bottom? because you said in your first post "as well as above". I can't really give further advice without seeing the layout and setup because it takes too long to guess every possible setting. If you want to contact me I'd take a free look for you to see what the problem is.

I have now set filters on my products so I think I will wait to see if the pagination is sorted out by a future version of Sellerdeck.

I would appreciate it if you could have a look at why the layout doesn't transfer from Sellerdeck to the actual website. Thank you.

Pagination Problem

I have successfully used the code to display pagination links at both the top and bottom of each page.

However on the first page I have "Show First 2 Page Product (s)". Then the full list of products is displayed. This is not what I want. What I want is to go straight into pagination as below, without having to click on "Show First 2 Page Product (s)" to achieve it

I want it to show on the very first page" Page: 1 2 3 4 5 ... > >> View All (12)"

Page numbers are for example only.

There must be some line of code that needs deleting or amending. Could someone please enlighten me. Many thanks.

Please advise if you are viewing the software page preview, or viewing the actual page on your live website. The software page preview will not show the pagination in preview mode. Only when you have uploaded the pages to your website you should see the pagination working correctly.
