Free gift with purchase

Hi all,

Wondering if you can help. Just about to launch my site and want to do an offer along the following lines.

'Free cable tidy with every set of earphones purchased'

I don't want to sell/list the cable tidy, I just want it to automatically add to the basket when earphones are added so that:
a) the customer can see it in there
b) it appears on the order so that the fulfilment house can see it

It would also be excellent if the customer saw a line such as 'Free cable tidy' near to the add to basket button, but not a problem if not as I can always add it at the bottom of the main copy.

I don't want the customer to have to use a coupon code on this if at all possible, just to happen automatically.

Can anyone help please?

You could just add it as a non-optional component for each of the products and call it "FREE cable tidy with these earphones".

Would that work?

Go to the in-built software Help menu > Help Topics > search for "Supplying Additional Items With A Product". Also see "How do I create an optional add-on for a product?" although you will not want the optional box. There are tutorials there.
