Filtering options

Is there a way to have a blank in the filtering choice.

So at the moment I want the choice to be "contains A" or blank but it doesn't seem to allow be to leave the choice blank I am having to create a second option of "no".

Instead of using "List of Choices" if you use "Text" with "Allow empty value" then on each product you can type in the value or you can leave it blank. You have to manually type in the value exactly the same on every product, if you type it different it creates two different values on the filtering.

This could be just what I am after to get filtering working my way.

Have given it a go with the list of choices as text.

But it appears to be picking up old values for some of the products in these variable.

Is there a table I check somewhere to see what is actually in there?.

On the screen they look fine, but some have a Yes in and others a No then the property field is blank.

I have tried a complete purge and refresh but still not joy.

I think is the previous options that had a Yes or No in them which are now blank which are carrying forward the field still.

It is a bit odd.

The variable are set-up and text and then the tick box as can be left blank.
Then I have copied and pasted the answer in those that should have the option and left blank the rest.

i just wondered whether it would be possible the check the database in access to see if the blank fields actually arn't and I could remove them.

Okay I will give it another go early in the week next time - i always only see to find the time late on a Friday and then not much I can do about it!!

You said products are picking up old values, check the Filtering on the section tab, if you have defined a property and it has changed you could be experiencing this bug.

All sorted there was a issue in the way I had commented out the headings - all working now.
