    cgi error

    Hi,

When trying to upload to I get the error message:

'SellerDeck is not able to run the CGI scripts on the server. It appears as if the scripts are not installed. The most likely cause is that you have an incorrect CGI-BIN URL.'

    However the path is correct.

    has anyone had this problem?

Check if you have this issue which has recently affected uploads: Errors uploading site after upgrading to Internet Explorer 11. Making sure you have upgraded to the latest 12.0.3 patch should fix the issue. If that is not the issue then read this topic and post the relevant information so that someone can help.

      oh oh

just rolled back IE and downloaded and installed patch. Now sellerdeck won't even open!!

SellerDeck has encountered a problem, and has closed. You will need to restart it.
Details of the problem have been saved to a *.dmp file, which you will find in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\SellerDeck 2013\Catalog_12_0_3_0_0_0_NLPA_1402121500_EX.dmp

tried several times but still get same error.
so website down and no interface to fix it!

You should contact SellerDeck support so they can look at the database problem. In the meantime you could roll back to the earlier version. You can downgrade to 12.0.2 from the downloads page. Alternatively you can import a recent backup. Or you look at extracting the database from a backup snapshot and copying it into the site folder.

I had the same issue on a site once, for me it was the host had the wrong permissions on the root folder, once they changed it all uploads went fine. It might also be worth trying to tick/untick passive mode in your settings and try either way.
            Many Thanks

also getting this as a secondary message

The web server returned error code 404 - Requested URL not found. This means SellerDeck can not execute the CGI scripts on your web site.

                  What's the url?

                    thanks for the help guys.
It turns out a namesco engineer had to reset all permissions on the server.
