How do I link to a pdf file in my description

m using Drillpine's Tabberand in one of my tabs I want to place a link to a pdf file of the fitting instruction for each product.

Can I do this by saving my pdf files into Site1 with my images for the site,

    or

do I upload the pdf files to my hosting area?

    Thank you

Use embedded HTML in your descriptions (they should be OK within tabs). E.g.

Put instructions.pdf in your Site folder. Then in your description put.
    Code:
    !!<<a href="instructions.pdf" target="_blank">INSTRUCTIONS</a>>!!
    Try it and see.

If instructions.pdf doesn't get automatically uploaded, then add it via Design / Additional Files.

If you're going to have a lot of these it may be worth automating it.

You could also do a lot automatically by using a per-product variable of type Filename containing the PDF file-name.

Then tweak Tabber to automatically add an INSTRUCTIONS tab containing auto created link only if said variable had a file-name set.

There are posts on www.drillpine.biz/forums (in Tabber) re such things. Some skill required.

        Thanks Norman
This worked by using the additional files
        Always very helpful!

I think I'll have a look at automating it when I'm feeling a little braver and clever!

        Thanks Again
