Tabular Search - Script Template Redundant?

Just to a query to developers are the SCRIPT TEMPLATES in the tabular search actually getting used and calling anything? Don't appear to be.

It is used, added in 12.0.2 to escape the link tags, script tags do not get added to source code.

Yeah I see that. Same area whereby inline link tag is wrapped around a H3 tag
