    Order Confirmation Email BUG

Here's one to look out for! (SD V12.03 / but I suspect all versions...)

    1) Place an order online - go all the way through checkout and pay (We're with SagePay but possibly all payment providers)...

    2) Save your 'Receipt' in your Favourites...

    3) Place another order online, for different goods, go all the way through checkout but DO NOT pay...

    4) From your Favourites reload the Receipt...

    5) You will get a second order confirmation email showing the same Order Number but with a different basket...

    6) Remember to refund your order - don't want you paying Retail Prices for your own stock...

    Hi Bill,

    An interesting little problem.

I guess I can see how this happens. The confirmation email is generated when the customer returns to the receipt page and the scripts will use the current order details as the basis for the email.

The good news is that this won't generate any kind of payment confirmation within sellerdeck as this is handled by a separate routine that requires the callback from the PSP.

I suspect for most of us this is unlikely to cause much of a problem, although I can think of some scenarios where it could. It really is time sellerdeck rewrote the email handling process of the checkout to avoid this and other problems.

      Hi Mike,

Yes, we've been using Actinic / SD for 9-years now and, with hundreds of thousands of orders, this is the first time we've ever come across this...
