    Moving Images into Seller Deck

I currently have images in a folder in My Documents with image links for each product starting C:\ or NOT_CATALOG. I want to move the images into Sellerdeck itself and alter the links accordingly. Where do I put them? I can't find sites/site1 which is presumably where they should go. I am looking in programfiles(x86)/Seller Deck 2013

I was also reading this thread for automating renaming links

    http://community.sellerdeck.com/showthread.php?p=71961

This talks about doing find and replace in Access with actiniccatalog.mdb . I can't see this either. Am I looking in the wrong place or is the equivalent in v12 renamed?

I'm using Sellerdeck v12.0.3 and Windows7 if that makes any difference.

In SellerDeck 2013 the Sites\Site1 folder is usually installed within the user documents, such as C:\Users\(user-name)\Documents\ SellerDeck 2013. See: Where can I find my 'Site' folder?. Referencing images outside the SellerDeck folder means images cannot be located if the snapshot is transferred to a different computer and results in them being copied into a "NOT_CATALOG" folder. It is recommended to have a sub folder called Images in the Site1 installation folder and select the images in the software from there, then backup and importing does not change file paths.

Thank you peblaco. I've found site 1 in the location you suggested.

There is an item ActinicCatalog.mdb in there. Will the method described in the link in the first post still work in v12? There are over a thousand images so I really don't want to do them all by hand if possible.

You can edit the database with a find and replace, make sure you have a safe backup of the database before attempting any changes. For editing using Access is recommended and make sure the software is closed first.

Another route to fixing image paths is to export the catalog data (File / Export). This produces a hierarchical text file that you could do a global find / replace to amend all the C:\..... stuff.

Then re-import (File / Import) to update the internal data.

If your file-paths are varied, you could use a text editor like Notepad++ that can do regular expression based find / replaces; so could replace all C:\..to the final backslash..\ with Images\.

          Again, backup the database first.

Back again! I've finally got around to trying to move the images into Sellerdeck. The folder I created containing images is called actinicimages so I thought the path I should use for each product should be

            atinicimages\imagename.jpg

but I am getting an error saying file not found. If I use the browse button on a product I get this path

            C:\Program Files (x86)\SellerDeck 2013\actinicimages\imagename.jpg

As this still refers to C I will have problems when I move to a new computer where data will go in drive D (C will be a SSD with just Windows there).

            Any advice please?

It does not look like you have the actinicimages folder inside the Site1 folder, you have it in Program Files, but said in a post above you found your Site1 folder under your Documents?. The recommendation would be to put your images folder inside the Site1 folder and then update the image references to that folder. Then if you create a snapshot and import it into another computer it will retain the images inside the Site1 folder on the new computer.

Thank you. You're quite right - I think I was having a senior moment. All sorted now.
