    Force reload of css

    Hi,

We have done some changes on the website http://www.cottonpatch.co.uk so it is in v12.04 now and there were major design changes.

Been getting the odd call saying some customers are struggling to see it correctly. Have looked at in IE tester, chrome, firefox etc and on tablet, pcs and mobile type devices. Seems okay to me but I wonder if it because customers are looking at a cached version of the css with the old design elements. Is there a way to force reload of cache or possibly even change the name of the actinic.css to reflect design changes. Ie call it actinic2014.css.

    Kind regards,
    david

You can take a copy of the contents of actinic.css file and create a new external stylesheet - change the link in the header of the outer layout to point to the new version.

Beware that once you break the link you will not be able to edit within SellerDeck and beware of any variables in the stylesheet as they sometimes do not parse fully upon upload.

If users are seeing cached versions they may also be seeing old page versions with different product prices etc as well. There various ways to tell browsers how long to cache sites for ranging from meta instructions to server based instructions.
