Hi,

Ref Google Shopping Feed

As I have no hope of finding 1000,s of EAN numbers, I am going for the 2 out of 3 combination of Brand and MPN.

In regards to MPN where do I add these values and can it be a mixture of letters/numbers as per manufacturers codes on most?

Highlight the product in the content tree, scroll down to the Product line on the Product Details window and add the info there.

The MPN can be whatever you like. The gtin barcode number provides the key info for Google Shopping.

Thanks - I have asked my website man to add MPN as i haven't got that on my version recently purchased

Ref EAN - Is there a database of these numbers as i have failed to find one - only one of my competitors lists some and when i enter that code on the web is links to Amazon so i am thinking they have taken it from them to start with.?

The EAN is the the same as the barcode on the products. If there isn't one then ask your suppliers / manufacturers.

Or more precisely: if the barcode is just 12 digits then it's a UPC code in which case the EAN is the UPC code with a 0 added to the begining to get the 13 digit EAN code.

You can also purchase these numbers from Ebay if you want your own unique numbers.

We purchased 5000 for £40 last year.
