yes of course...

So when importing the hierarchical file, I had thought I had copied across the correct image directory into the site folder. It was called 'dolls houses' instead of 'dollshouses'.

Just the space in the name meant the images could not be found - and it prevented any product from being imported without images, so all the subsection imported with no products inside them!

Simple and silly, but easily done!
