Item with hidden products / varying shipping weights

Certain products on our website come in various different sizes.

These products have been listed with a drop down menu to allow the customer to choose the size they require.

I want to specify different shipping weights for each different 'hidden product' within the drop down menu.

I have input the differing weights within the hidden products 'shipping data' field.

When I test to see if the shipping is added in the checkout process it doesn't seem to work...

Is there something else I need to do to get this to work?

Problem Solved ! I had the incorrect product references for my hidden products!
