Email inner / outer error

Hi all,

Ive searched the forums and cannot find this.

I get this when I refresh or export:

"Your email message 'Customer Email' may be wrongly formatted because its Inner Layout type does not match the Outer Layout type defined for that email.

The Inner and Outer Layouts selected for any given email must both be in the same format - either HTML or Text. Please choose an Inner Layout of the correct type, or change the Outer Layout type in Site Options | Layout | Other"

I have tried to fix this but cannot seem to do it. Can anyone help, also is it best to use html emails or text ?

Thankyou for your reply.

Ive just read the guide and carried out the actions, selecting all the values to 'html format' but it still throws up an error message for customer email, administrator email and buyer email.

I don't get it, im using an un-customised , non plugin 2013 site.

Looks like im going to have to submit a support ticket for this, I don't think the emails are working at all because of this error, which is not my doing.

Fixed,

Applied the fix 5 times and eventually it worked.
