    pages jumping from side to side

    Hi all,

    I cannot believe, after all these years that this problem still remains.

    When I click through my pages in ie and ffox the pages jump from side to side. Im using an unmodified, out of the box 2013 v12.05 site.

    Can anyone tell me what I have to click on to stop this, it looks so very unprofessional

    Michael
    Kind regards,

    I doubt that anyone can answer without you posting the URL of your site.

      Sorry Norman and all,

      Here it is:

      www.stageprint.co.uk

      It mostly affects the info pages in the left hand menu and one of the pages in the top menu.

      Any advice would be great,

      Michael

        It might just be because you're using two different logo images in the header.

          Also - pages longer than the height of your monitor will have the scroll bar added to the right hand side, shorter pages will not. That will cause the design to move a little sideways to centralise on the page.

            Thankyou for your time.
            Its the scrollbar, I will just have to put up with it.

              There are definitely 2 differently sized logo images in use.

                Yes Norman your correct, im sorting that now.

                Im using a fix I found in a thread where you end up using 'section' to allocate the logo images. Im having a bit of difficulty with that because all of my info pages are still showing the old logo and I cant seem to update them - these are 'brochure pages' and don't seem to have a box to select the logo.

                Whilst im talking to you, am I correct in assuming you cannot supply a plugin to show quantity based discounts live on the dynamic price view ? Ive asked you in the past and you said it was way too much code.

                Many thanks,

                Michael

                    Thanks Duncan,

                    Looks good but I wouldn't know how to implement it. I like the idea of forcing every single page to have scroll bars - seems like an effective solution to me.

                      Afraid so. It's way too much work and is really something that SD should be doing.

                        Can anyone tell me which file to add the following code to:

                        html {
                        overflow-y: scroll;
                        }

                        Hopefully to force a vertical scroll bar on everypage.
                        Kind regards,

                          Works a treat and stops the website from looking unfinished.
