Long Site address - what have i done now......

    Hello all,

Tried searching the forum for this,

Im using the latest version of sellerdeck and my web addresses are long like this:

Which im sure you will agree is no good, do I fix it in network settings or is it server side ? Im on 1and1 standard.

    Michael

p.s. ive got referral scheme switched off
    Kind regards,

    Michael

Oh well, nothing in a forum search for this.
I have no idea what this means but its the actual address showing in the browser bar. T he website works without crashing on the server, but I don't know what 'cookie error bounce' means or does. ?
            Kind regards,

Not related to hosting. There are usually script pages or logged in links that add a referrer on the end of the page to keep users logged in or bounce you to another page.

                Fixed

                Really sorry about this question.

Ive only just realised that ive been logged in as me, for ages probably, thanks peblaco. I never had user accounts with actinic and my brain is still stuck in actinic mode.

Is it worth getting rid of /acatalog/ or changing it, or can it cause more problems than its worth, I think ive read that all external links would be lost and google would need to update all over again.

Is there a forum archive ? I would rather find the answer myself than use up peoples precious time here.
                Kind regards,

                Michael

You can change store folder name, however you should add a .htaccess for redirects and to update links.

                    Thanks peblaco,

I can do the .htaccess ive done it before, but it sounds messy.

Don't want to lose links, google or rankings though so wont touch it.
