We have several product groups associated with various discounts.

If we want to offer a 1 day discount on all products,
is there an easy way to do this without affecting the existing groups/discounts?

You could try the once only coupon code, if it is a mail list which works well.

If you have customer groups, you could do a global price change for a day or a period, that is quite easy, specially if you just want it a cross the whole site say 10% off.

The coupon method won't work as it still needs to be applied to a product group that has "everything", so our existing groups need to be deleted and re-created afterwards (which is what we want to avoid)

We don't use customer groups so I can't use that option.

Hi there, I am pretty sure you can do it at the cart level which means you don't have to have product groups.

I have looked in the help and they have "How do I give a percentage off discount across the board?"

Which you can do with and without codes.

Yes, I think I know what you mean.

It's the very first tab on the discounts windows : "Order Level"

Duh!

We've been doing it all on the tab "Cart Contents",
so we can disable the discounts on that and then put one in on the "Order Level" for just one day...
