slow website

Hi

Not the ideal day to ask for help but here goes.......

I have noticed that my website is running extremely slowly. I spent some time searching for answers and came across this thread that didn't appear to have been resolved.

I am using 12.05 and the website is here

I have one standard coupon code running. A single use coupon I did have on the site has since been used.

Symptoms:

Takes ages to add to cart
takes ages to view cart
takes ages to checkout

Tried on win 7, ipad and iphone.

I didn't have any issues prior to running the coupon. It did take ages to complete the checkout (transfer to psp) until I implemented the mail form script fix for 1 and 1 email servers.

It seems reasonably fast to me.

A web page check suggests it is a bit slow and there are a few 404 errors, mainly related to magic zoom plus and no favicon.

The odd thing is that it looks as if there's a main image that seems to be slow to load, even though from what I can see the image isn't that large.

Have you got magic zoom loading a large image? There's no sign of any zoom on the page so it looks as if you've got some kind of a problem there.

I have resolved this I think!

A site refresh seems to have sorted the issue. Should have done this before posting

This is interesting. Yes, I do have magic zoom enabled for some product images. I also have lightbox for a couple of pages. May I ask what you used to check the site?

Oddly I checked again after you'd posted and it didn't show the same problems which was slightly confusing.

It is very odd as this site has only been live for a 10 days with no major uploads and I have also refreshed it in that time too!

Oh well, the refresh seems to have got rid of some redundant stuff as the whole site seems to be running a lot faster
