Mixing Windows Versions

We have Sellerdeck running on a computer with Windows 7 Ultimate. We have recently upgraded an order processing computer to Windows 8.1 Pro, and have found that there are compatability issues with this (it accesses the data on the Windows 7 pc). Has anybody else found this, and is there a solution that does not involve upgrading the main pc to 8.1 or in downgrading the secondary pc to 7?

You could try running Sellerdeck on your 8.1 PC in compatibility mode for W7?

Right click the sellerdeck .exe in the installation folder, then Properties, then Compatibility then select the check box and choose W7 in the drop down.
