I have started getting the above error message on my machine.(business plus) I'm not sure what has happened as i have not changed anything. I have disabled all of the antivirus programs running to no avail. All of the other machines connected to my server can run sellerdeck without a problem. I have tried restarting the sync server on the actual server but it still comes up with the error message.

Is there anything on my local machine that i should check to see if the service is running as i have tried everything that i can think of and everything that i have found on google. I have also reinstalled sellerdeck to see if this makes a difference which it hasnt.

Any help would be really appreciated as i'm all out of ideas

Try reinstalling v11. This happened to me. If I don't have v11 on my PC then nothing works.

And maybe also check services.msc to see if it's been disabled by mistake.

i have checked services.msc and there is nothing listed for either actinic or sellerdeck.

Have you set up data sharing? (File - MultiUser Options). The synch server service won't be listed if not.

the sync server is running fine on my server and everyone else on the network can connect to sellerdeck just fine, its just on my machine that i keep getting the error on.

I'm stumped as to how something has changed to make it not work. Its been perfect for months and then all of a sudden it throws a wobbly and gives up the ghost and comes up with the sync error.

I installed V11 and then reinstalled 2013 and that did not work either

well i have now royally buggered the installation up

i reinstalled sellerdeck on the server and it only finds the site1 folder even though i have replaced all of the site folders how they were before. I have spent most of the weekend in at work trying to sort it but i have just made things worse. I'm all out of ideas on how to sort it and worst of all is if i cannot get things sorted asap nobody will be able to do any work tomorrow

Is there a Sites.ini file you can check/amend to see if it lists the relevant sites? I'm only familiar with the Business installation so not sure if Business Plus follows the same model...

I'm not sure if all of the websites should be listed in the .ini file or not.

I cannot figure out why it isnt picking up the other sites though even when they are in the correct directory. All i get is the Site1 folder showing

also, even on the standard installation i am still getting the synch server error message from my client PC when i start sellerdeck

can someone be so kind to setting me right on which data sellerdeck uses in a multi user environment please as its all starting to become a blur.

The setup i have is that sellerdeck business is installed on my server. I have site data in my C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents/SellerDeck2013 folder but the shared data people connect to is on a shared drive on the server S:\Sellerdeck 2013

I have tried connecting a new installation of business to the s: drive but it does not pick the folders up only the Site1 folder.

Is this how it should be please as i'm sure this is how it was set up originally but for some reason it does not like it now. When i am setting up the shared folder i am pointing it at the s: drive folder.

I did take install V11 on my client PC to see if it solved my sync error. Could this have damaged/altered any of the 2013 files or folders as the problem got considerably worse after installation of V11
